Anything conductive the students want to use for their interactive idea

Inspire
Inspire students with this video by Hackidemia and TedXYouth@Austin then show them Dong Nguyen’s Global Codeathon Game Space Trek.
Think
Brainstorm ideas of how they could turn the room or a box into a space ship using Scratch and Makey Makey’s.
What sounds might a spaceship make? What could we press in our spaceship that would make those sounds? What could we make with these materials that would control Dong Nguyen’s game more like a real Spaceship?
Brainstorm ideas as a group so students can piggyback off one another’s ideas.
Make
Students can map keys by coding keys in Scratch. Program the keys by recording sounds directly into Scratch or upload the sound you would like to use.
Connect Wires to interactive spaces designed by students.
Give students time to create sound effects with Scratch.
Hook Makey Makey ports (the keys your students programmed) to the interactive objects in the room.
Create signs if needed to prompt interaction.
